University of Glasgow Case Study

University of Glasgow Case Study

Founded in 1451, the University of Glasgow is one of the world's most established academic institutions. Alumni include the pioneer of television John Logie Baird and First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon.

The University of Glasgow needed people across a number of different functions, from Finance and HR to Office Support and marketing.

So first of all, the team met with the University to get a full understanding of the roles and objectives.

Then we set about conducting a full UK search, using our existing networks and referrals as well as targeted advertising. After a successful candidate search, we produced a long list to discuss with the university.

Once they approved it, we conducted our screening process.

It included a full competency-based interview with each shortlisted candidate, and our Business Attitudes Questionnaire (facilitated by our Talent Management team).

With our shortlist, we then presented to the university. We made sure to highlight each candidate's experience, allowing them to proceed with their own final-stage interview.

Eventually, we successfully filled the initial Finance role (even managing the offer process and candidate feedback), along with a number of subsequent roles.

Together, we have have filled over a hundred roles to date, from Head of Construction & Capital Projects to Business Development Manager.
