5 apps that'll make you more productive at work

5 apps that'll make you more productive at work

We know how tough it can be to stay productive at work. Especially when you've got so many potential distractions stored in your phone.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
Here's five mobile apps that'll enhance your productivity, not diminish it!

1. Evernote

Evernote gives you one clear workspace to make, manage and organise your notes. You can also upload images, audio and video.

You can create agendas, write memos and craft presentations. You can also annotate documents with comments and share them with your colleagues.

Plus, the app lets you sync everything across multiple devices. So you can start your work on mobile during your morning commute, and pick up where you left off on desktop when you get to the office.

2. Google Keep

Google Keep boasts a distinctive sticky note design. You can note down what's on your mind, and it'll remind you later. You can also attach photos and even leave voice memos.

It's colour-coded to help you organize more clearly, and you can even set location-based reminders. That means when you walk past, say a client's office, it'll pull up a relevant reminder.

Better still, you can sync it across all your devices, so you access your notes on phone, tablet, computer or wearable Android device.

3. Dropbox

You've almost certainly come across Dropbox already – now's the time to download it for yourself!

Dropbox is the place you can store just about anything – documents, videos, photos and more. Files you keep there are safely backed up and can be accessed on any device. You'll even be able to edit Microsoft Office documents.

Plus, it's easy to send large files to anyone, even if they don't have an account.

4. Abukai Expenses

Abukai is an expense tracking app that lets you automatically create expense reports.

All you have to do is take a picture of each receipt and press submit. The app will then take care of the rest and email you the finished report.

It'll come broken down into cost categorization, date, vendor and all the other relevant information. Handy!

5. Carrot

Carrot is billed as the world's first to-do list with a personality.

You enter your list, and the only way you can keep the app's sassy interface happy is to get things done. Complete your list and you'll make her happy, slack off and you'll feel her wrath.

There's also unlockable upgrades, from reminders to mini-games. Plus, with more than 500 rewards on offer, it should be more than enough to keep your motivated.

Speaking of distractions, here's four ways social media can actually help your career.
