THE CHALLENGE

Morgan Philips Talent Consulting have been a trusted partner of Essentra for six years. With an aggressive growth agenda, Essentra wanted to focus more closely on identifying, developing and retaining its leaders. Morgan Philips was asked to help build a talent pipeline that could deliver and sustain the future talent and performance strategy.

HOW WE HELPED

Morgan Philips developed a global competency framework as the foundation for critical talent decisions and solutions. Using the new framework, Morgan Philips designed and delivered leadership development centres to assess future leadership potential, assessing more than 130 leaders globally. Drawing on the insights from the leadership development centres, the team were able to identify emerging development themes. Tailored learning workshops were designed to address the themes identified, such as coaching skills for managers. To maximise the value of the talent data gathered, digital dashboards were created to provide 'on demand' talent information and connect assessment with performance data across the organisation.

THE IMPACT

The new assessment and development methodology designed by Morgan Philips has been adopted throughout Essentra and continues to improve the quality of selection and hiring decisions, helping deliver profitable growth across all business divisions. Due to the quality and depth of insights provided, Morgan Philips also acts as a strategic talent advisor for the Senior Leadership Team and continues to support Essentra in providing modern, best practice approaches to assess and develop talent.
