Where the Magic Happens: Stepping out of your Comfort Zone

Where the Magic Happens: Stepping out of your Comfort Zone

Inspirational quotes encourage us to do something that we wouldn’t normally do. However, crossing the line of your comfort zone is not easy. Rather than rendering the fear, it creates more anxiety.

But what exactly is Comfort Zone? Why is it that we tend to get comfortable with the familiar and our routines, but when we’re introduced to new things, the glimmer fades so quickly?

Our comfort zone is the level at which you feel comfortable, with ease, and familiarity. Stepping out of your comfort zone and growing consistently, is to lower your resistance to doing the task and it builds up confidence. Our comfort zone is our natural, neutral state – a place where stress and anxiety are minimal. There’s nothing wrong with being in your comfort zone unless you start holding yourself back instead of challenging yourself to learn, grow, and try new things.

Comfort zone benefits in obvious ways: regular happiness, low anxiety, and reduced stress. In order to maximize our performance, we need a state of relative anxiety – a space where stress levels are slightly higher than normal. This space is called “Optimal Anxiety”, and it’s just outside our comfort zone. Stepping out of your comfort zone can get yourself to the next level and accomplish something and accepts challenges and can turn up into an amazing result. However, pushing too hard can cause negative results. Below are the perks of stepping outside your comfort zone.

Helps you Perform at your Peak

Stepping out of your comfort zone is an important factor in personal growth. Challenging yourself in new and interesting things can help you develop your career and other areas in life rather than sticking one habit or routine.

Being productive means you are willing to try new interesting things. Being productive teaches you to continuously push yourself. The more productive you are, the easier it is to evolve into a better self and creating better habits.

Get to exercise our Mind

Stepping outside of your comfort zone reshapes your brain. It strengthens our mind’s agility for change for faster thinking and developing a solution when there is a problem.

Challenging yourself you dip into and utilize your personal store of untapped knowledge and resources. You will not have any idea what you’re made of unless and until you venture outside of your own familiar world. Once you’ve become familiar and find out the flow with this stretch, what was unfamiliar becomes familiar. Then enjoy being in your comfort zone till you decide to step out again.
