The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is a ministerial department of the UK Government, working to protect the public, reduce reoffending and provide a more effective criminal justice system.

MoJ were looking for a new Director of Analytical Services after their current Director moved on to another Government body. After putting together a mini-tender proposal, we were awarded the project.

We meet with the team and subsequently put together a flexible solution that would work around MoJ's changing priorities.

To make sure the deadlines were met, we even adapted our standard sifting and long-lasting procedures to make them much quicker.

Our bespoke solution incorporated everything from a full delivery timetable and executive search to online advertising and candidate packs.

We also made sure to comply with the Civil Service Commissioner's principles for recruitment and the Guaranteed Interview Scheme (GIS).

After sending out recruitment packs and receiving our applications, we worked with MoJ to identify a final six for the interview.

After a change in policy, we had to reassess the agreed all-male shortlist. But after presenting diversity metrics, process details and a robust audit trail, MoJ was able to sign off without delay.

We successfully placed a new Director of Analytical Services while at the same time managing the other candidates.
